Our Advice

Email marketing is a simple concept but had advanced viciously with science and technology. Email marketing is now no longer about sending bulk emails (also known as ‘email blasting’), due to growing implementation of privacy and data protection laws worldwide. In choosing the best email marketing platform, go back to the basics. Look at what you need, and determine what is necessary. Choose one that works to your requirements.

>> Do not choose one that is complicated!

Once you had established a decent few, try contacting their customer support to enquire more about their features or request a trial. Consider if it is easy to obtain support and the quality of support provided. Are resources also available online for self-diagnostic? How easy it is to scale up if required; that is purchase a bigger plan?

In addition to above, consider a reliable platform which has proven deliverability of the emails (assuming quality contacts) to ensure that your emails reached the contact fine. Emails reaching the spam/junk boxes is subjected to many factors, but you definitely do not want a poor email marketing platform to be the cause.

Here, we also feel that the drag and drop tool, and reporting/analytics tool are exceptionally required! Email automation is nice to have, but require a lot of thoughts and prior setups, and hence more suitable for large businesses and skilled marketers. Take note that a good automation tool should be intelligent, which ensures that the content of the emails is tailored to specific person or audience.
