About the team
The SAP HANA Database & Analytics Common Data Services organization is a global organization dedicated to delivering data management solutions that address customers’ unique and competitive business requirements. The Service Infrastructure Team is responsible for a set of integrated data platform and infrastructure services, which are the foundation of SAP’s major cloud offerings, SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Data Intelligence. These services are designed and implemented using cutting-edge technologies, especially Kubernetes, and are running at large scale in all major cloud provider infrastructures.
We are looking for a working student who is excited to contribute to operational excellence, especially in the areas TCO optimization, process optimization and hyperscaler capacity management.
As a working student in the service infrastructure team, you will work closely with members of the leadership team and have the opportunity to help shape internal processes. You will get detailed insights how a global development organization responsible for several thousands of productively used cloud service instances is operated.
Your tasks will include
- Preparation and execution support for TCO optimization activities
- Preparation and execution support for hyperscaler capacity management activities
- Preparation and execution of different project management activities
- Drafting of internal communication and high quality presentations
- Analysis of improvement potential for internal processes and support with implementation of process improvements
As a student (f/m/d) your working hours will be flexible with a maximum of 20 hours each week during the semester based on hourly wage, up to 40 hours during the semester break.
- Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences in the area of business administration, business informatics or related areas
- Strong experience with MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Technical understanding and strong affinity to improving processes
- Analytical skills and the ability to grasp and work with complex concepts
- Initial programming experience is a plus
- Very good language skills in English, German is a plus
- Team player, can-do attitude, self-motivated and able to drive topics in a structured and independent way
