Position Title: Developer for AIS- Ariba Cloud Support

About AIS: This job belongs to the Application Innovation Services (AIS) organization under SAP. AIS is a global organization within SAP, and it supports the installed base of SAP products (Ariba). At AIS it is our mission to deliver excellent maintenance, innovation and transformation services to our customers helping in their Digital Transformation. AIS also supports the cloud applications as they acquire a mature state where they would require best in class development support.

About the Job:

The primary objective is to establish you as expert in the role of Development Support Engineer at AIS and take care of the maintenance of the cloud applications. This calls for managing the regular cloud maintenance activities and resolving customer issues and supporting requirements related to legal & audit compliance.

Your aim should be to take ownership of your product topics and to deliver the best service to our customers.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

BE/B. Tech/ME/M. Tech/MCA

Skills & Competencies:

Develop/Maintain Java-based solutions with scalability, reliability, maintainability, and testability 
Sound knowledge in Object Oriented Programming Principles with skills in core Java
Knowledge of Relational DB with strong database concepts
Knowledge of Webservices using SOAP & REST
Knowledge of microservice architecture using Java Spring boot, Hibernate, GitHub and Jenkin
Knowledge of building UI using Angular
Knowledge of Lean/Agile development process including Experience of having worked on Lean/Agile development teams, with good understanding of scrum process and roles associated with development
Able to apply algorithms to optimize code to build super-fast solutions and provide design/solutions to complex requirements in the application

Nice to have:
Knowledge on Ariba Procurement Operations Desk Or BNS(CI9- Ariba Network Adapter for SAP NetWeaver OR ITK – SAP Ariba Integration Toolkit)

PREFERRED SKILLS

Strong knowledge of business products (preferably Ariba)
Self-motivated, curious, open minded, resourceful, and flexible with the ability to learn quickly.
Constructive and open style of communication.
Excellent writing, presentation, and time management skills
Ability to adapt to new processes and ongoing changes in a dynamic environment and deliver results beyond expectations

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

Lead and work closely with a team of Architects/Team Leads as a developer
Work on a cloud-based procurement solution and learn cloud concepts
Work in core components for the SAP Ariba cloud that include persistence, meta-data model, object model framework and performance analysis.
Work on solving scalability and performance problems.
Work on SAP Ariba technology stack along with latest technologies like Angular/Micro services.
Hold the end-to-end responsibility of for the Cloud services/products in the Procurement domain for which handover has been taken by the team
Develop, Test and Deploy patch fixes and/or any releases that might be necessary from the team to support the cloud applications/services
Message handling (internal, customer) and support in bug fixing by developers
Ensure to honour the SLA guidelines of the Cloud Support
Drive Constant platform adoptions e.g., library upgrade, incompatible changes, security findings etc. to keep the lights on for the service/products

WORK EXPERIENCE:
4-7 years’ experience in Java Software development (preferably in cloud)
Location: Bangalore, India
Expected travel :0-10 %
