The development center of SAP in Bulgaria is technology-focused and plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. We are looking for an experienced (Associate) Site Reliability Engineer (f/m/d) with a passion for hyper-scale database administration of one of the most frequently used security services in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

What you’ll do 

As a (Associate) Site Reliability Engineer (f/m/d) for the BTP Core Security Control Plane, you will be strengthening our team of SRE enthusiasts of the Authorization and Trust Management Service (XSUAA). You will:

  • extend and consolidate our (pro-active) monitoring infrastructures, mitigate outages, analyse root causes, and ensure the SLOs of the BTP security services
  • work with modern APM tools like Dynatrace to analyse and fix performance degradations, and configure and automate CI/CD pipelines
  • work on resilience features like cloud architecture, rate-limiting, or performance tuning together with the development team
  • set up, configure, and tune the persistence layer of our security services

What you bring

  • A good university degree (bachelor, diploma, master, PhD) in computer science or related fields
  • Obsession to SRE and continuous learning
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructures, networks, and components
  • Interest in database performance optimization
  • Fascination for IT Security
  • Good problem-solving and fluent communication skills in English

Optional, but nice to have:

  • Experience with CI/CD, associated tools, and configuration as code
  • Experience with APM Tools like Dynatrace or Cloud Watch
  • Programming skills in modern programming and scripting languages like Bash, Groovy, Java
  • Knowledge of information security and cloud native architecture is an advantage
